Who We Are
Elevating Personal Style into Spaces
What started as a client relationship has blossomed into a friendship and now Blue Jay Interiors.
Carly and Stephanie first met in 2016 when Carly helped Stephanie and her husband with the selections and furnishings for their custom home. While working together, Carly and Stephanie developed a friendship and remained in touch after the project was completed.
Stephanie has always been impressed by and recognized Carly's talent and her congenial spirit. In 2020, Stephanie approached Carly about starting a company together and from that conversation, Blue Jay Interiors was born.
Co-Owner & Principal Designer
Carly Filbin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Texas State University and is a Registered Interior Designer with more than a decade of experience. Spanning multiple disciplines, including residential interior design, luxury residential project management, and commercial natural stone and tile expertise, her experience culminates to offer a comprehensive knowledge of the industry.
As a young child, she excelled in the arts and a single college interior design class was all it took to turn that passion into a career in design. “I cannot imagine a life doing anything else,” Carly says. She believes that good design is classic and timeless, while at the same time being a perfect balance of form and function. A room can evoke emotion, and Carly knows it is her job to help you define your design dreams and make them a reality.
When Carly is not designing you can find her spending time with her Fiancé and their 2 dogs, working out, participating in Bible study, baking, painting or planning her next adventure! She enjoys traveling to explore nature and architecture, along with all the inspiration they both bring.
She cannot wait to help you transform your space and bring your dreams to life!
Co-Owner & Business Manager
Stephanie Jones is a unique combination of creative and practical. You would be just as likely to find her thriving in a calculus class as in an art class growing up. She would tell you that one of the hardest decisions she ever had to make was choosing between pursuing an engineering degree or an art degree.
Stephanie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Sam Houston State University. Stephanie spent a brief time in Education after college before moving to the Oil and Gas Industry. She worked as a Pipeline Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and in Project Management before taking time off to raise her young children.
When Stephanie is not working, she can be found spending time with her family, volunteering with CASA, working out, and dabbling in photography and painting.
